With a poor forecast for the ride, only five os us braved the elements this morning for our annual Christmas Dinner ride. Shame really because it didn't turn out that bad, with just the occasional short shower once we'd got going, and waterproofs not required for most of the day.

We left Rolls Royce sports and social at 10am, heading down Greenberfield Road and over Brogden Lane to Rimmington. Then on to Downham and Chatburn before turning towards Bolton-by-Bowland where we stopped at nearby Holden Clough nurseries for coffee and toast. Seems it was their Christmas fayre, and they were quite bust, but wew were made very welcome and enjoyed the break from the cold December morning.

Leaving Holden Clough, we headed up Forest Becks to Wigglesworth, turning right and down to Paythorn, before returning to Rolls via Horton and Bracewell.

Dinner was up to the usual exceptional standard, where we were joined by 25 other members who hadn't braved the morning ride.
